Alyssa’s top tips to get energised now!

  • Pen time in your diary for renewing energy. Include exercise, friendships, and time for doing nothing!
  • Spend time in nature at least once a week, even in winter. It's important to get daylight when hours are short, especially in regions wherer daylight hours are very limited at certain times of the year.
  • Take regular breaks during the day to help your brain to sift through and process incoming information. This will help your sleep be deeper and more restorative at night because your brain has less catching up to do!
  • Put the words ‘body check’ on your screen saver or somewhere you pass often to remind yourself to sit up and to be conscious of your posture.
  • Ask for help. Brainstorm people who could help you, and phone them right now.
  • Slip on some headphones and listen to 5 minutes of uplifting music.
  • Have a laugh! Try renting a funny movie or going to a comedy night out.
