I want to talk to you today about giving yourself positive messages. This is a technique used by top athletes and business people and increasingly, by women just like you who want to be more energised and simply, just happier! It’s so simple, because all you do is repeat a phrase or sentence to yourself throughout the day that will improve your attitude, emotions, or performance. Let me give you some examples:

  • I am calm
  • I am capable
  • I choose to be happy
  • I am creative
  • I am too blessed to be stressed
  • I am lovable

These are all classic affirmations because they are positive and in the present tense - but you can also use phrases like “You can’t please everyone” or “Things don’t have to be perfect”.

Now, once you choose an affirmation, I suggest you read or repeat it regularly to get it firmly ingrained in your subconscious mind. This is the goal. So repeat it when you brush your teeth, stick it on the fridge, or even use it as a screen saver! And when you think it's fully embedded and you are thinking it naturally, enjoy the power of it – and then write yourself a new one!
